With 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, I set out to open a center for children ages 6 months to 12 years old. Each age grouping has their own room with highly qualified teachers and teacher assistants. Our philosophy is based on the belief that every child is unique and every child learns in a way unique to oneself. Our mission is to provide the best learning environment for the whole child from social and emotional, physical, cognitive,language to their parents, siblings, friends, health/nutrition and family. The programs promote a positive, supportive,nurturing environment with developmentally appropriate activities for every age. In addition to Summer Programs, we at the Canterbury Children’s Academy, Inc. offer childcare for children 1 to 12 years old M-F from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. During the school year we offer a Infant program for ages 6 weeks to 1 year, Toddler Program for ages 1-3 years, a Preschool program for children 3-5 years old and a Before and After-school program for children 5-12 years old.
