Description:

My name is Renae, I have been running an in-home state-approved family day care for twenty-one years. I currently do not have any openings. I am CPR/First Aid Certified! We have a huge fenced yard with a playground and lots of room for the kids to play and have fun, we also have circle time, arts and crafts, and I work with the kids on their ABC's/123's, etc. The kids will not just sit in a room and watch TV all day. I enjoy spending my days with children. You can feel secure bringing your child to my home knowing he/she will have lots of fun and be in a safe, clean environment. I have two adult children of my own, and a loving husband, with a clean background, who helps me out from time to time. I am available between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and my rates are $135 per week, all meals are included. Please give me a call to set up an appointment to come and see us. Thank you **I also provide before and after school care for school age children who attend East Pennsboro Elementary School**

Comment: I really hate terminating any children, however the other children in my care need their naps and I cannot sacrifice five children's nap time to accommodate one child. I tried everything, coloring, playdough, educational tablet, watching Blippi, and he was still loud enough to wake up the other children in my care every day. It states in my handbook that all new children will be cared for on a two-week (14 calendar days) trial period beginning on your child's first actual day of care. During that time the parent or provider may terminate the childcare agreement with 24 hours notice. No pre-paid fees will be credited upon cancellation during the Trial Period. After the trial period, a two-week's written notice is required by either party to terminate the agreement. Also, I texted her instead of talking to her in person to avoid a scene in front of the children in my care.

Comment: I’d love to give her a 5 star I just can’t due to the fact the day I went and met her with my son we talked about everything from what he likes to doesnt what he does do and doesn’t do. Know that he didn’t take naps she was fine with it said it wasn’t a problem. First week was great my son loved it his attitude got so much better loves playing with the other kids and enjoyed this day care. 2nd week was great but when my fiancé picked him up after work she was giving him an attitude Thursday I dropped him off let her know that he wasn’t going to be there tomorrow (Friday) she said okay No problem didn’t say anything else. I then proceeded to wake up Friday morning with a TEXT MESSAGE saying that she can no longer provide child care for my son cause he doesn’t take naps and is disruptive. Anyone who knows my child if you give him coloring pages or something to do he is not disruptive or loud instead of giving me a head up that she was doing a “trial” period with him or even Thursday when I dropped him off that she might discontinue child care cause of the nap situation she tells me through txt she isn’t going to anymore and says she will watch him though the 9th of September but I have to pay her find another day care and still pay them as well? My child so getting so much better and here we are back to square one should’ve just went with an actual daycare.

Comment: My 3 year old son attended Renae's in-home daycare for 1 year and he loved it. Renae is a fun and nurturing caregiver. She keeps the kids on a schedule and her home has a great yard to play in. Renae is also great at potty-training.
