Arminda's daycare is very disciplined and that is especially helpful in the time of COVID-19. It is also advantageous that she has a large backyard, making it possible for children to experience more outdoor and socially distanced activities in these unusual times. My daughter was very excited to return after the shutdown. I know that Arminda and her assistant will be working very hard to keep the kids safe, from the early morning check-in/temperature taking/EEC Covid checklist (with staggered drop-off/pickup times for the designated parent), to the separate toy set (i.e., duplo/construction toys) used per child, and to the mask wearing for children over age 2. It is also advantageous that the number of children is restricted to 6, and in some cases more than one child is from the same family (which may decrease risk compared to large center daycares). Arminda and her assistant are now taking pictures of kids and sending them to parents during the day (because parents are no longer supposed to enter the daycare due to COVID-19). Since I was very happy with the daycare, I referred several of my work colleagues to it (another Harvard postdoc sent their baby here before they returned to Israel). If you inquire it with Arminda, it is possible that she will send you to me or other parents as a reference. I look forward to talking to you about her daycare.

If I could give this daycare 0 stars I would, but unfortunately 1 Star is the least. If you are reading this review because you are in search of a daycare facility, do yourself and your child a favor and keep looking. Do NOT under any circumstances send your baby here. If this was the last daycare on Earth I would quit my job and stay home. First off the kids (about 10 could be less at times) are stuck in one small room all day (unless it’s meal times). Summer the kids are outside but let’s face it, summers in New England are short and winters are long. What really bothered me was everytime I picked my child up, the House was too clean, it didn’t appear that a group of 10 kids have been playing or learning for 6-8hrs. It was mind boggling bc I know in my own home after 30 mins the living room is covered with toys, books, coloring books etc and that is with one child. It appeared that Arminda didn’t allow the kids to be kids. Ana is the only reason we stayed with this daycare for 6 months. Ana is very loving and caring. Arminda is mean. She has no business running a daycare, this shouldn’t even be called a daycare but a boarding school is more appropriate. If I picked up my child early without notice her diaper would be soaked, like she hadn’t been changed all day. There was absolutely no communication, I didn’t know what my baby did all day, what she ate, she had come home with scratches and red marks several times and I had no idea why and wasn’t told why. I was never welcomed into the home, it was like everything was so private. I would drop my baby off at the front step and she would be picked up on the front step and the door would close quickly. And the icing on the cake is my daughter would come home miserable every single day! If you knew my daughter she hardly cries. She is a great sleeper and is just happy in general and they said all she did was cry here which was crazy to me. That isn’t how she is! She has a sitter on weekends that I work and she isn’t like that there either. I think she sensed that Arminda wasn’t a loving person and just by her demeanor, I can picture her yelling at the kids all day. She is just an awful person and shouldn’t  pet sit, never mind be paid to watch our kids. I wouldnt step foot in here again if she paid me to watch my baby. Just not a good place at all. I feel terrible that I sent my child here at all, I was so discouraged and thought maybe I was being too critical and maybe all daycares were like this. This isn’t true, we have found a wonderful daycare with an angel of a provider and I am so happy this didn’t work out for us bc I never would have found our current facility. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away!
