Comment: My wife and I have been sending our child to Grow and Grace for over 2 years now. We have been blessed with Shellie, and the way she helps with the development of our child as they grow. She has provided an excellent learning environment with her home, and the activities the children do throughout the day. As put by another reviewer, Nana has become part of our family!

Comment: When looking for childcare for a 6 week old, it is very stressful and worrisome. I found Grow ‘n’ Grace and toured the in-home daycare. After speaking to Mrs. Anderson for over an hour, I walked out knowing that was where I wanted my baby going. Now, almost a year later, I wouldn’t take him anywhere else! Mrs. Anderson has become an extension to our family! There are no differences in expectations with pay if you were anywhere else. Pay is expected same day every week for the following week. Everything is discussed in detail before a contract is signed. Mrs. Anderson has over 30 years experience with children, and she teaches us new things everyday. I would recommend Grow ‘n’ Grace over and over to anyone looking for child care.

Comment: We feel so truly blessed to have Miss Shellie watching our son in the mornings and she has been wonderful to all of us. Though we have only been bringing our son over for several months, we have known Shellie for quite a few years as we are neighbors. She has such a warm personality and it's clear she loves children. Our son loves coming over in the mornings and only has positive things to say each day he spends time with Ms. Shellie. We are grateful and thankful that we have her as a friend, neighbor and child care provider for our son. In addition to her care being wonderful, she also has a beautiful home and the daycare that is set up in the lower level is bright and sunny and has the look of a preschool setting. The other babies and kids are always happy and smiling when we arrive and so is Ms. Shellie who treats us like family. We are truly blessed.

Comment: First let just say I enrolled my first child in a prior facility that Mrs. Anderson had in approx. 2010 because it had been HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. With that being said I now have 3 children and each one has gone either to a facility that Mrs. Anderson has either owned herself or worked in. When I was looking for a provider I was looking to feel the passion of someone who loves kids and she def gave me that. You can tell that she’s been doing childcare for a long time. When dropping your kid(s) off you will feel like they are with their “nana” or grand parent everyday, and who doesn’t want that. Now don’t get me wrong she definitely runs a tight ship but always treating your child with love and kindness as if they are her own, which is one reason I love her so much. Her facility is always clean and well kept. The presentation when you walk in, very much replicates a facility from the way she has it set up. From what I’ve witnessed she makes learning fun. I would absolutely recommend this day care and provider to anyone looking for a more personal experience for themselves and children.

Comment: My son has gone here for 5 years and I love and respect her so much. She teaches well and treat my kids as family. I have older children who attend to and she treats them the same. I love her skills.

Comment: This in home daycare is not an ideal one. You have to walk through the backyard in mud when it rains snow when it has snowed. And if you have small children or car seats it is very difficult and messy. The woman that runs the home Shellie Anderson, is very unprofessional and a bit rude. My children began attending Growing n Grace home child care back in April of 2019 and last day they attended was in March of 2020. When I originally moved to Raymore, MO all of the childcare centers was full and had very long waiting list. Whit having to start work immediately our family went with a local in home childcare Growing N grace. When signing the girls up Mrs. Anderson stressed over and over that if I didn’t have the money on Monday’s then to leave the girls home until payment was made witch is pretty understandable but the deliverance was cold and repeatedly. Despite in need of care I ignored the rudeness and continued on. She stated that I should pay her today if I wanted to have a spot held for my girls because someone was coming in an hour and could take their spots. The original agreement was $40 for each child on top of what the state was paying her for the both of them. I payed her $100 for the sign up fee and $80 for the girls first week. I removed the girls due to all of her unexpected doctors appointments her consistently calling me from work and school to come pick the girls up early and her vacation times on top of her saying she cannot lift my children because of her damaged hand. I placed the girls at my sisters childcare center but my kids hated it their. Mrs Anderson had reached out and asked for me to bring the girls back. So a month later the girls did return but now she’s asking for me to pay the same amount that I was paid at the childcare center because on her computer she could view what my payment was with the previous child care provider. I told her I would not pay that and then she asked me to pay $55 each for both girls will originally I was only paying $40 each child. Over the months she continuously complained about my children, they are academically delay she’s stated, she’s constantly comparing kids to other kids, she talks to other parent and family members about the children and had an aunt that’s not willing to change pampers fill in for her when she has appointments. She’s called me from work and or school to come get the girls early because she has an appointment or because she has something to do at the church but my favorite one is all the other kids parents came and my kids are the only ones left. She’s stated that if the kids father isn’t working why hasn’t he came to get them early then? Because another parent their husband comes and gets his kid early when he’s not working. And on and on but the Straw that broke the camels back is June 1st 2020 I asked her for a refund on the days that she did perform any services and she told me at first “ oh no you all pay for my vacation time “ I argued that I didn’t see how that makes any sense. She then stated she would have it ready but the end of the week. Two weeks later I texted her she said she’ll call in an hour. The next day she call and ask what was it that I wanted when I texted yesterday. I said my refund, and she goes because I’ve been giving you discounts all this time I’m reluctant to return you a refund. I paid her a month in advance she only provided services for 2 weeks before she had to go on vacation then the covid-19 prevented the last week. But all in all she still owes me for the last two weeks she did not provide services for those weeks rather she gave me a discount in her mind or not. I’m taking her to court.
