Comment: My daughter attended Tiny Steps located on 11th Street (between 4th and 5th Ave.) for 10 full days for two months (once a week). I was quite surprised and disappointed by the program, and some elements of it that caused problems for me as a Mom, and for my daughter. Truly, I am sooo glad today is her last day. I feel an obligation to share with you specifics of our experience, hopefully so things can be done better if they want to remain in business.... #1 - One day I picked up my daughter at 5PM and we arrived home at 5:05PM – my child’s diaper was completely soaked! Her schoolbag still had the two diapers I put in since the morning. It seemed apparent that no one did any diaper change for my daughter that day at all for 8 hours. I contacted the owner (she has several other day care centers and doesn’t work on this site). The response from one staff was that she checked my kid’s diaper 10 minutes before I picked her up and it was DRY. This was surely untrue due to the large volume of urine that had obviously accumulated in her diaper. A very harmful and dangerous situation. #2 - I left this family day care ¾ full of wipes on the first day – today it has the same amount left! Hmm, did the staff simply change my daughter without using the wipes? This disregards basic sanitary practice. This should certainly be corrected. #3 - Despite my instructions to give my daughter milk, she reported that she only received water. This is unacceptable. Finally, today after I checked my daughter’s diaper after she arrived home - it was very wet again! But fortunately, today is her last day. All in all, they just don't seem to care. What do they care? Other trusting Parents.... BEWARE!
