| Comment: | After trying another home daycare in the area and really not liking it, we found Monterey Family Daycare and fell in love! Sheela is loving, kind, and patient with the kids. My son used to attend and now my 2 year old daughter does. She comes home with art projects and other fun crafts. They are often playing outside in the large park-like backyard when I come pick my daughter up. She is well fed and happy when I get her! There are plenty of toys for all ages all around the home. My son attended for about 7 months before starting school, and now we send our two year old who runs to our front door excitedly when I tell her it’s daycare time. We are so happy to have found this place! |

| Comment: | Wonderful daycare. Very understanding with non traditional schedules. Our child is always happy when we pick her up and well taken care of. Nilo always lets me know how things are going. I highly recommend this daycare to others. |

| Comment: | For the last four years my two kids are being cared by Sheela Hayat and Nilofar Hayat. They became part of our family and I just can’t think how we are going to deal if we move from this place. When this year my kids started going to school Mrs. Sheela accepted to pick them up form school and it was a great help for me. The kids are very happy with her and feel themselves very comfortable while in her daycare. My son is very picky at eating but Nilofar feed him personally and I saw that myself several times when I was present there. She serves fresh home cooked meals and that is especially important because my kids are very picky and I am very sensitive about what my kids eat due to religious reasons. She has a nice and huge play room inside and also a great backyard paly ground for sunny days. They also take the kids to field trips once in a while. They do lots of different activities with kids. I recommend this daycare to every parent looking for a nice and comfortable place for their kids. A place that let mom and dad peacefully continue their jobs without having the tensions and concerns about their children’s well being, eating, napping, behaviors and education. | Comment: | I'm not sure what daycare the other "Matt" brought his child to, but it doesn't sound like the same one we did. Sheela is amazing. Even though our son was a finicky infant, she somehow had the magic touch and got him to eat (and eat, and eat). You can't imagine how relieved two new (and nervous) parents were to see him put on weight at a healthy rate. We often literally had to pry our son away from her most days because he didn't want to leave. We felt very comfortable leaving him in their capable hands. We never had any difficulty communicating or getting satisfactory answers to our important questions. Our child was very well cared for. We ultimately changed daycare providers because of a new job in a new area, but we keep in touch with the Hayats, and Nilofar asks about our son all the time. We bring him to visit when we're in the area, and he loves it. I can't imagine doing that if we didn't feel such an attachment to the place. |

| Comment: | My daughter has been attending Monterey Day Care for over 2 years, she considers them part of the family, when I pick her up she seems Happy, they cooked fresh meal every day, they provide healthy snacks. My daughter is learning songs, numbers ,colors, etc. (she is 28 months). They have a lot of activities for the children, little field trips to nearby parks, a great playground in the fence back yard, The care givers (2 full time ladies) Nilofar and Sheela are always communicating with the parents, they have a open doors policy . Also they are so gracious to take my 6 years old son when there's no school, he can't wait to go there every time that has days off at school, he enjoys his time at Monterey Day Care. The best indicators are the children, mine is happy and she loves them. |

| Comment: | My daughter (almost 2 years old) has been attending daycare with Ms. Sheila and Ms. Nilo for the last year. After having a horrible experience with another daycare in town we were fortunate enough to find this daycare last October. They are incredibly warm and wonderful women and seem to really adore my daughter and the other children. My daughter is always excited to see them in the mornings and is always very happy in the afternoons when we pick her up. They cook the children homemade meals every day, have a big backyard with age-appropriate play equipment for the children, and do fun/educational activities with the kida everyday. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for childcare. |

| Comment: | My child attended this daycare for about two and ahalf years and now goes to preshool. He still mising his daycare. My child asked me to take him back to sheela and Nilofar(the care givers of the daycre). I took my child there three times since he started his preshool, just to visit his kind and profisional caregivers. |

| Comment: | Disregard the negative reviews, this place is awesome!! My son went here full-time, before he started kindergarten this fall and he loved Ms Shelia and Ms Nilofar. My son went to other daycare providers in Monterey before several coworkers recommended the Hayats to me. I can say from experience that this is the best place I've seen in Monterey for the following reasons: Convience- they are centrally located and cater to working parents. This is the only place in Monterey that would allow me to drop my son off at 7:30 am and pick him up around 5:00 pm. Environment- they Hayats are a great family and my son always felt at home with them. The house is nice and big, with a nice back yard to play in. Affordability- less expensive than other providers and open longer hours! Plus, breakfast, lunch and snack are included in tuition (my 5 yr old is a bottom-less pit when it comes to food and he always had plenty to eat). Quality of care- Shelia and Nilofar always plan different activities for the kids. My son was always excited to tell me about the things they did like art projects, water games in the backyard, movie day, learning other languages or little field trips around the neighborhood. Don't believe the parent who said the Hayats are secretive, my son is 5 and talks non-stop, everyday he would tell me about everything that happened at school and it was all positive. This was the first daycare in Monterey that my son didn't complain about. Other parents that I know from this daycare are also very satisfied. I highly recommend Ms Shelia and Ms Nilofar! |

| Comment: | I had a wonderful experience with this provider, they have always given my child and the others the best attention. My child was always happy to see the provider and the other children, was always well feed and attended to. I would recommend this daycare because the providers are wonderful with the kids and it genuinely is a safe place for the kids to be at. |

| Comment: | My child attended Sheela Hayat child care for two years, I strongly DO NOT recommend this child care for the following reasons, the person running the child care either do not have the experience or the are careless, in my opinion they are just careless, unprofessional and uncaring individuals. They DO NOT care about others children at all, first of all one day I was physically present inside the child care some of the children were crying for long time, nobody will even pay attention to the children, this one child, she was in a sitting position and she was very very sleepy and wanted to sleep, every time she goes to sleep in a sitting position she will fall and the poor girl will get up, she kept on falling asleep, but these care taker were busy doing other things, when it’s time for their parents to pick up these kids, of course they will pick up these kids and will keep them in their hug till their parents picked them up. This was just show for parents to see how much do they care for these kids. They DO NOT have an open door policy; we had to ring the bell for long time and then somebody will respond, of course they will make a security excuse, but it was a bunch of lie. On the paper they showed two persons will be present at child care, but there was only one person, the other person is attending college full time. Do NOT TRUST this child care DOCUMENTS and rules that just applying to customers and not to themselves, they are always trying to hide things from parents very secretive. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CHILD CARE TO ANY HUMAN BEING. TX. |
