Comment: I along with the last review wish I could rate a zero.. At first Joyce and the home seemed nice. Nice home, nice area and Joyce was pleasant. She had a "learning room" that was just full of random kid stuff telling me it was being updated to a new learning room. That was ok. People remodel and make changes. The first two weeks my son had fun. It was hard at first for him but I could tell he enjoyed it still. Just sad to be away from mommy & daddy. Then, he was always crying. My son normally took to daycare's very well. He was 2 and a half there. He started telling me he was sick all the time because he knew in the rare times he was sick I took off work to stay home with him.. Wasn't really sick.. I put him in school. Joyce always told me my son was an angel! Always a pleasure and a treat! 1 month into services there he had an incident where they stated he hit the helper girl Kirsteen (I believe her name was.. She had new help a lot... Should have been my first sign) So I was upset and I asked my son "Why did you hit her? Is hitting nice or bad? Is that a good choice or bad choice?" Joyce hollers over what my son wanted to say and snapped "HE IS ALWAYS LIKE THIS.. WE DON'T KNOW WHAT HIS ISSUE IS..." This should have been my sign and I hate myself to this day for not removing him instantly. I chalked it up to my son acted out and it was a rough day in the child care bizz (which is not an excuse regardless...) He continues for 1 more month.. Always scared and sad that he is there.. At the end of 2 months my husband and I pick our son up together.. My son is full of tears and snot pressed up against the glass door looking out to us crying his heart out.. We come in and hold him asking what is wrong! He cannot even speak! He spoke very well for his age. He could not say anything but cry so hard he couldn't breathe. Joyce barges in on my husband and me trying to console him saying things like "He has been like this all day!" "he has been mean to all the kids!" "he hit us again!" We couldn't even respond to her we were just so upset over how upset our son was. We signed him out and put him in the car. We didn't leave until we got our son to calm down with some deep breaths. He is almost 3. We got him to calm down and kept asking what was wrong. He stated.. "Miss Joyce mad at me. I didn't listen. Miss Joyce hit me" WE FREAK OUT and ask him more details and he states "Miss Joyce hit me with pillow. I hit my head the wall. I wasn't listening. I bad boy" He had a small bump on the back of his head. I have read and heard many HORRIBLE reviews of this woman. I also heard her help call the children a bunch of BRATS on his last day. He would come home soaked in piss two different times and a different diaper multiple times! DO NOT! take your child here. Google her yourself! Citations and UNhappy reviews are everywhere! SHE BROKE MY SONS SPIRIT! He was deathly afraid to start new schooling after here.. We thankfully found an AMAZING school in Old Town Lewisville. Don't let your child be another victim with a broken spirit. I never once saw this lady even get off of her couch.. If you want a cruel woman bingeing on the couch yelling at your kids while they run around.. then this is your lady.

Comment: I wish I could give this daycare 0 stars. The owner, Joyce Stafford, seemed nice at first, but after a month of taking my daughter Lillian to her home daycare I saw her true colors. First, she is not lisenced to take care of infants. And Lillian is now 4 months old. She has multiple citations for her not labeling cleaning supplies as toxic, taking care of more kids than legally allowed, and for not doing her monthly fire drills. You can look them up here: https://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Child_Care/Search_Texas_Child_Care/ppFacilitySearchDayCare.asp Second, she is VERY unorganized. Nothing was labeled. She would put other kids clothing in my diaper bag. And the last day Lillian was there she had put someone else's socks on her when I pack extra everything. Third, she kept saying Lillian would spit up a lot, but she doesn't spit up that much with me or any of our family. Either it's because she wasn't burping her enough which I told her she HAS to do multiple times a bottle, or it's because she was washing her bottles in the dishwasher and there is soap residue all over them. You can't even see through the bottles I picked up from her house. Fourth, when I picked her up from "Loving Heart Daycare" yesterday, she had on the same diaper on that I put her in right before I dropped her off at 9:45am and I picked her up at 6:30pm. That's almost 8 hours!! The diaper was completely full and really heavy and Lillian had indentions on her bottom because it had been on for so long. When I asked her about it she says that she doesn't even change the kids, her "helpers" do. They are teenagers by the way. And to top it all off, when I went over there today to pick up my things and tell her Lillian was not coming back she was ASLEEP! In her room with the door closed. And the two "helpers" were on the couch cuddled under blankets while the kids all played on the floor. After Kristin (a helper) went to get her, she informed me after a few minutes of waiting Joyce had to change clothes.. And when I asked what she was doing in there she stated "I was asleep! It's none of your f*cking business what I do. I have 2 helpers I can sleep if I want to!" I said "well Lillian is not coming back". She said "Good you have been causing me problems this whole time!" (Sorry my kid is the only who breast feeds and you have to work a little harder to take care of her) I then stated all her citations further explaining why I wasn't bringing her back. She told me to "Get the f*ck out of my house, those citations don't even matter" So I grabbed her bottles and the remaining diapers Lillian had over there while Joyce continues with "your a crazy bitch" and I told her "I entrusted my kids with you not your helpers". And she shouldn't be sleeping on the job! Then she screamed "F*CK YOU B*TCH! GET THE F*CK OUT OF MY HOUSE!" And all the kids stared at me in shock and looking scared as I walked out the door. Don't worry I called 911. I wouldn't recommend this woman to anyone. And hopefully she will get shut down and not be able to take care of kids anymore, but there's only so much I can do. I pray your kids and you don't have to go through what we have.
