Although I do not have a child attending this daycare, or even know Tracy personally, I would like the person that left that commemt to remember that she chose to go with a home daycare rather than the center and my guess is because it is cheaper. With that in mind, of course she is going to close if there are illnesses in the family. You want to drop your child off at a center then pay for that convenience of knowing that they will never be closed. Secondly, your child is probably the one spreading the illnesses to the other children. Instead of thinking of yourself and not wanting to take days off of work, think about the other children and should your sick child really be there. Many times parents keep bringing in their children to spread illness and the only way to contain this is actually shutting down the whole daycare for a week, giving it the seven to ten days incubation, to get out of the home. This has beeen one of the worse years for illnesses, centers and homes. Get a nanny if you want to try and keep them germ free and don't take them to the stores where they touch carts, ect. The provider and their families don't want to become sick, nor does she want anything that can be spread to the younger children and consequently make things worse.

Comment: Families beware! My child attended Tracy's daycare for about seven months and in that seven months my husband had to stay home with my daughter 20 times due to illness in Tracy's family, other children or my child's illness . Tracy also required us to see a doctor three times for one incident on three separate occasions. What I've gathered from this is that Tracy tries to do little work while still getting paid. She seems to be very unhappy with what she does so just be cautious when interviewing with her!
