Comment: | Linda is extremely trustworthy when it comes to the care of your child. She will always provide them with great care and is very consistent and protective; however she is extremely overbearing, judgmental and is a control-freak. Watch what information you share with her as she will use it against you later on, as well as share it with the other parents. She talks to you about the other parents’ personal business and makes judgements about them and their children, which is a violation of privacy. She told me how she actually printed-off paperwork describing the negative effects of drinking diet soda while breastfeeding and sent another parent home with that paperwork when Linda thought the child wasn’t sleeping like they should. She also explained that the parents “must not love him” because he wasn’t a very affectionate child. She self-admittedly does not abide by state policy when it comes to your child having a temperature and will send them home with a fever as low as 99.2 and then not let them come back at her discretion even if they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours. Her sub is no better and will check your child’s temperature rectally multiple times in a week even if they have no sign of illness. The sub actually told me that she can’t “risk getting sick herself” so it all seems very self-serving. In the time I used her care, I know at least 2 sets of parents stopped going to her because of her stringent rules and inability to be flexible. She asked me to bring diaper rash cream and when I told her I would bring Buttpaste (which I’ve used with both of my children for over 8 years) she told me that I needed to bring Aquaphor instead because that’s what SHE likes to use since it’s less messy. She had no shame in demanding that I pump more breast milk and bring in a week’s worth at a time versus bringing it each day. She told me I needed to amend my diet to increase my milk production, even though my production was more than sufficient and I even had milk leftover. This provider requires flu vaccine to attend her daycare and will amend her policy in a heartbeat to add new rules if you disagree with her. |
