Description:

Greetings,

Here at Muna's Home Childcare we know how stressful it can be to think of leaving your most "prized possession", your infant and/or toddler, in the care of a total stranger or even left at a public daycare with the lack of attention each child needs and not to mention germs that are transferred back and forth from so many children present at the same time. Let me ease your mind by providing you with our services as well as our current and past references.

This will technically be their home away from home while you work in order to provide a good life for them. What this means is that we treat your little angel the same way you would. They are loved, cuddled, talked to, fed, changed and given a routine to their life which makes it ultimately a lot easier for you and for them to adjust to basically having two homes - a day home and a night/weekend home.

Our goal is to offer a safe, fun, and happy place for the children where they can play, learn and grow at their own pace. Children will participate in free play, reading, art work, drawing, music, singing, dancing, outside play time and much more.

We have a fun educational and loving environment home child care. Located in Springfield, VA. Very close to Routes 95/395/495, close to Franconia Rd., Ft. Belvoir, Alexandria, Kingstown Area and Van Dorn St..

Muna's Home Childcare is state licensed. Muna is accredited in infants and toddlers care, certified in Medical Assistance, MAT, CPR, and First AID. We teach children from a very young age as we believe the first 6 years of a child's life are critical  to developing their brain so that it can benefit them in the future. They learn all pre-school education and we prepare them for kindergarten. Muna speaks five languages and has two assistants.

We enthusiastically look forward to meeting you and taking care of your child.

Comment: Muna has been a dream come true for us. She took our little one in with open arms when she was just 10 months old. We have stayed with Muna for 2 years and been so grateful for her. Our daughter at the age of 3 1/2 can share the alphabet, count to 20+, and is learning to spell!!! Muna helped us through potty training too! I don't know how we would have done it without her. If you're looking for someone to take care of your little with love and patience - Muna is the one. 10/10! We love you Muna!

Comment: Our daughters have been at Ms. Muna's Childcare and we absolutely love it there. She takes such wonderful care of them and has been doing fabulous with mask and covid-19 restrictions. We feel very safe there. She provides meals, naptime, and plenty of learning and outside time. We feel so fortunate to have found such a loving childcare provider. She's the best!

I was a first time mom when I started my 12 week old daughter with Ms. Muna. That first day was so hard to drop her off, but Ms. Muna made sure to appreciate that and make me feel better. She has worked with me on feeding schedules, allowing to help this working momma breast feed as long as desired and has become a part of our family. Our daughter is now almost 1 and will jump out of my arms to go to Ms. Muna at drop off. She has learned new skills thanks to daycare. If you are looking for a comfortable home feel with a structured school curriculum, this is the place for you. Ms. Muna spends most of her free time taking continuing education classes. Muna Hassan's daycare is safe, clean, happy, loving, and structured. I couldn't ask for more. Another plus is her early morning hours, and her flexibility for my unpredictable work schedule. Every time I walk in what always strikes my attention is how calm, content and happy ALL of the children are. The children ranging in age from infant to kindergarten age all love each other and play well together.

Our 3.5 year-old daughter has been attending Muna's daycare since she was 8 months. We are so happy with our choice. I can't say enough good things about Muna and her wonderful assistants. These are the main reasons why we like and highly recommend Muna’s Daycare: 1) The daycare is always kept clean and safe. 2) Miss Muna has an absolute love for the children in her care. She treats all kids like they are her own. My daughter can’t leave day care without squeeze-squeeze hug. 3) She has the most reasonable rates that we found in Alexandria area. 4) She cooks for kids every day from scratch. Some kids have allergy and she knows how to deal with it. 5)She has a big back yard with lots of toys. During the summer kids have a lot of splash days. They even plant tomatoes and herbs together. 6) They prepare older kids for school. They focus a lot on developing reading, writing and math skills. Our daughter knows already all letters and can wright her name, can count ten or more objects, and recognizes shapes and colors. 7) Kids have lots of fun every day. They sing, dance, and read together. They do lots of art and crafts. Muna’s Daycare is an amazing place for kids of any age. Highly recommend it especially for new parents.

Muna provided exceptional care for my two children, ages 3 years and 10 months, from the time they were both newborns. My family and children were incredibly happy with Muna's care. My children looked forward to going to Muna's every day, and I left them with her knowing that they were being cared for in the best possible hands. She is very structured with infant nap schedules, which made keeping the kids home and going to day care an easy transition. My children were always rested and happy when I picked them up. Muna was a second mother to our children - we will always cherish our time with her! We switched day cares because we moved - but would recommend her to anybody.

Comment: My child has been lovingly cared for by Ms. Muna from 6 months old to now 4 1/2 years old. She is his second mother! We live in DC and could have started public preschool last year (and saved money) but we love Ms. Muna so much it was worth it to continue paying for daycare. She has a big, green backyard where the kids can run around daily, makes healthy, homecooked meals, and keeps a very clean and orderly space. She and her assistants take care to provide lots of different activities for the children of varying ages.

Comment: Muna has been caring for our 1 year old daughter for nearly a year, and we couldn't be happier. We were nervous bringing our precious newborn to a daycare, but even at that young age it was clear that our daughter was happy to be there. Muna clearly loves children and is a natural when it comes to caring for kids of all ages. And the environment she provides is clean, engaging, and a place that all of the kids enjoy playing in. I agree with the other reviewers that she strikes a nice balance between showing love for the kids while also providing structure and guidelines. The result is a happy group of kids that are well-behaved and always learning the right way to interact with others. Muna's Child Care is truly a Northern VA gem, and my wife and I feel so fortunate that we found her. One other note - if you're military - she is registered with NACCRRA to accept Fee Assistance and she's very familiar with all the paperwork involved.

Comment: Muna's Child Care has a great "home" feel--you can tell she loves all of the children as if they were her own! We were in search of a daycare with a nice family centric atmosphere and Muna's was it! She maintains a professional work atmosphere that resonates down to her assistants and she provides a clean, nurturing learning environment for all of the children in attendance. My son started with Muna at 3 months old and in the short time he has been in her care, I can see his development has sky rocketed from week to week. Muna takes pride in her work as a daycare provider and it shows through the little happy faces I see at pick-up each day!
