| Comment: | I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Ms: Shashi Negi and the exceptional staff that work at Shining stars day care. I couldn't be more thankful to have found such an amazing childcare establishment. Back in 2011, as a first-time parent, having to put my child into daycare was something I was not looking forward to. Not only was the thought of being away from the little one was devastating, but to leave her in a daycare was a scary thought. But Ms: Shashi made the transition very easy and 7 yrs lapsed with my both daughters enrolled with Ms: Shashi. I can honestly say that staff at Shining stars treated us like family. When I dropped off my daughters, I am completely at ease because I know both my daughters were being cared for as if they were one of their own. For that peace of mind, I can not thank Ms:Shashi enough!! Staff at Shining stars have always treated my daughters with extra love and affection. The food provided was of excellent quality, nutritious and made with utmost care. The learning program was nurturing and it enhanced my daughters social and motor skills. I cannot speak highly enough about Ms:Shashi's child care services. She is truly an exemplary woman who takes her job seriously and is well loved by students and parents alike. I have no qualms in recommending Shining stars for anyone looking for child care services. |

| Comment: | When we looked at day care options for my daughter none of them compared to Shashi’s day care. We can say that our expectations were far exceeded. She is extremely passionate about her work. The most important thing is a safe and warm environment. She also had great academic achievement and transition to kindergarten was smooth. Thank you Shashi and team! |

| Comment: | I had both of my children go to Ms.Shashi, from 6 mths till 4 and 5 years old. We love Ms.Shashi. I am a kindergarten teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools and I highly recommend Ms.Shahi. She provides a structured and loving environment. She focuses on social skills and academics through a developmentally appropriate curriculum. The children participate in music, reading, art & crafts (lots of wonderful keep-sakes that I have saved through the years), physical activities (gross motor), sensory activities and of course play. Ms. Shashi is very flexible and works well with parents on the specific needs of each child; medical, feeding and sensory issues or behavioral concerns. Ms.Shashi shares lots of pictures so you can see the activities the children are doing. I can come to work knowing my child is being loved and is in the best environment to grow and learn. |

| Comment: | I had interviewed and toured several home daycares in our area before I decided to enroll my daughter at Shashi's daycare. My daughter was enrolled when she was 9 months old and my son started when he was 14 months old. Words cannot express the thanks that my family has for Shashi and her staff. This daycare is a mix of caring and loving environment along with nurturing and educational development for children. The mix age group for the activities helps the older kids to learn how to deal with younger children and both younger and older kids learn to share and play together. The daycare is clean, everything is organized and planned. The staff is loving and kids follow a daily routine (For example: circle time, outside play, nap time, and free play). Shashi and her staff works with parents on potty training, getting rid of binky along with discipline and any other additional needs for the child's growth. They give the necessary one-on-one attention to child as needed. I liked the fact that Shashi is flexible understands different needs of each child and family. We were able to focus on our jobs and not worry about our kids safety and well being at this daycare. The daycare follows required health protocols and ensure that the food that they provide to children is fresh, nutritious, balanced and prepared with good hygiene. Shashi focuses on child development and plans various activities during the week which includes craft work, music, reading, free play, pretend play, dress up play various themes based on the season and type of holiday, yoga and exercise etc. My children learned all the kindergarten level skills and more at her daycare. They could read sight words and simple preschool level books, write their names, alphabets and numbers, simple addition and subtraction etc. The monthly newsletters and Parents night outs(PNOs) are like cherry on top!! Note: We did PNOs with Shashi more because kids wanted to be there longer and have fun with their friends and teachers. We are thankful that we found this daycare. I highly recommend Shashi's daycare to all my friends and neighbors. |

| Comment: | If you are looking for a provider that will serve as a great role model for your child, look no further. I had the pleasure of sending my older child to Shashi Negi (owner) and now my second child is in her care. She and the two others that work with her are very loving, nurturing, and structured and do a great job teaching my son and the other children in the daycare great life skills; like how to play with others, listen, share, be respectful, take responsibility for one’s actions, etc. Shashi also teaches her students by getting them excited about learning and using a very nurturing and positive approach, so children feel good about themselves even when they make mistakes. Shashi teaches her students how to be kind and centered individual, which include sessions on yoga and meditation. She is committed to proving a loving environment, so every child feels included. Last but not least, Shashi provides fantastic home cooked meals each day which both of my children LOVE! Shashi is a very compassionate and caring person that will often go above and beyond to take care of her students. I give her nothing less than two thumbs up! |

| Comment: | We want to express our sincere appreciation for what a wonderful job you all at Shashi’s Home Daycare do to take care of both my daughter when they were as young as 3 months old. I have had a working relation with her for almost 7 years. Being first time parents, we visited many daycares, but the transparency in your conversation and the insights drew us towards your care. And the very moment we decided that it’s the place for our little angel who was only 3 months old then. You made the transition so easy and smooth that I a new mother I felt that I couldn’t have provided all the care and attention she gets at your place. The extra attention and care for her medications when needed and the aggressiveness you show to make her comfortable is so comforting for us especially when we work far. With conversations with other parents with kids of same age as Avika and going to pre-school, we were pleasantly surprised that your curriculum and structure was better than most of the preschools. The extra attention you give to the kids in circle time and through your art programs have given both my daughters a great head start on the skills at such an early age of under 2 years. Having responsibility for children in building their manners and individuality needs enormous energy and patience, and you hold yourselves to such high standards of behavior with the kids - and it shows. They know right from wrong, and have a deep sense of showing kindness and respect for others and appreciating each other’s individuality. This only comes from constant consciousness of one's own reaction to difficult situations and maintaining the self discipline to model the behavior that we would like to see in our children. And indeed we feel proud when other people praise how well groomed they are. Thank you for creating such a warm, friendly, disciplined and fun atmosphere for the kids. It is truly a blessing to be able to leave both my girls at your care, knowing that they were enjoying their time and well taken care of. Thank you for making such an incredible effort everyday! |

| Comment: | I have been taking my kids to Ms Shashi’s daycare for more than 3 years now. The experience has been wonderful and we couldn’t have asked for better care provider. Ms Shashi goes above and beyond in making sure that kids are happy, healthy ,secure, kept well occupied with so many activities like, arts and crafts etc. Montessori academic curriculum is followed diligently and kids feel busy but not overwhelmed. As the owner her interpersonal skills are excellent and she makes sure that any concern is well communicated and heard. We surely will recommend this daycare to anyone looking for home away from home for their kids. |
