Comment:

I have had my daughter with this daycare for about 3-4 months it had been going well until July 2nd when I went to pick up. I walked in and my daughter was crying in the back room and then I heard one of the ladies on staff raise her voice to my daughter about removing the toys from the chest. This of course made her cry harder as I came around the corner, I observed she was alone with this staff member. I consoled her for a moment then encouraged her to help pick up her mess. Before anything could even happen the staff member just said "Whatever I will get it." This blew me away and I could tell she was bothered I asked her if she was okay and told her I can tell something was bothering her as we have never had this happen in all our time here, everyone is usually laid back and seemed to enjoy the children. She stated to me she has had a lot going on with her personal, and that my daughter was regressing in potty training and needed more pull ups!!??! As I could tell this conversation was not getting anywhere I took the higher road and left, and immediately contacted the owner. Talking to the owner made me feel better but I had come to the conclusion I would not have my daughter supervised by the staff member with personal issues again. The owner agreed with me ! The owner also felt we should all sit down and work this out I agreed and thought that was a good idea as we are not mad at that staff member more surprised, shocked, and concerned as this was out of the norm. The next meeting with them was on the 3rd of July we were greeted by the owner and she asked the staff member to join us to talk this out. The staff member literally behaved like a child saying no "I ain't got nothing to say, she accusing me of stuff" Wow real professional. When she finally decided to grace us with her presence she was rude, interruptive, totally oblivious to our concerns and finally stomped off saying she quit! I couldn't believe all of this so the owner stated that she would talk to her and get back with us and that she understands if we didn't want to leave our child under their care and she would be willing to watch her for us while we find another daycare, and that she would call us on Sunday the 6th of July and let us know what her daughter was going to do ! Today is the 7th of July I had to call her and she just informed me her daughter would continue to be employed there. How I really feel about all of this is that this situation could have been avoided in a number of ways. First off don't yell at any kids if they are not your own, unless there is immediate danger. Empathy understand a parents concern I walk in and you alone with my kid crying and you aggravated from personal issues. Then even after we have a cool off period your going to refuse to talk to the parents when we didn't accuse you of anything we were simply stating what we observed not professional. Gloria Croley is the owner and it is a shame because she is extremely nice along with her daughter "Q".....But if there is a Shalonda employed I would not recommend this place at all, and its a shame that just because Shalonda is her daughter that we get burdened with the inconvenience over her personal issues.
