Comment: I had my first son about 6 years ago. My husband’s coworker recommended a daycare in the area and it was horrible! I quickly had to find another daycare. I asked around and was recommended to Bonilla’s Daycare by 2 of my friends. My first friend’s child went there and had another child that was currently attending. My other friend had her son there years ago and was one of their first children they took care of. Both friends spoke very highly of the daycare. I called them and they were able to let me visit and had room for my son. Since then, both of my sons attended from when he was 4 months-3 years old. Whenever someone asked me for a daycare recommendation, I always recommend them! Pre-covid times, I was able to drop off and pick up my son inside of the house. The house is so clean!! It is not cluttered. The toys are clean and new. There are designated areas for the children. There is air conditioning. They provide home cook meals. I absolutely loved that. They provided breakfast, snack, and lunch. When my children went there, I knew they ate healthy and tasty food. For my second son, I sent him with breast milk and it was no problem. They help put my sons on a routine. They ate better in daycare. They went down for naps without problem and took long naps. They even learned Spanish! At the beginning of COVID, Bonilla’s commitment to the children and families they serve were very clear. They did not close at all! They have some families that are essential workers and continued to have child care needs. I’m sure it was very scary for them, but they continued to support the families. I know that couldn’t have been easy for them. They have not had 1 confirmed COVID case (my son left them to go to preschool in August). I can’t say enough good things about Bonilla Daycare! I don’t know how my husband and I could have worked full time with children. They have become our extended family!

I had a horrible experience with a home day care with my first born 12 years ago but when I decided to visit Bonilla Family Child Care based on a referral to provide daycare for my third child, I was quite IMPRESSED. They run their child care service out of their home like any business. The place is immaculate. They provide home cooked lunches and breakfast to the children. There is a large basket of fruit always on the counter. The backyard is safe and children friendly. They offer arts and crafts and educational interactions for the toddlers. I am so impressed by how they run the facility that it has changed my impressions of home day care. My son adores them and has learned so much in the last year. They are a loving family and treat the children they care for as one of their own. I am so pleased that I've referred them to my family members and friends.

Comment: I am beyond bless to have the Bonilla Daycare in my life. I have 6 children who have ALL been under their supervision for over 15 years. I consider every member as family, they have gone beyond expectations in every aspect for my children my children. They are LOVING, CARING, and RESPECTFUL beyond ALL MEASURES. I have seen the love the have for each child that walks in thru those doors for A VERY LONG TIME. I currently have a 20, 17, 14, 13 year old who still to this day talk about what they have learned and about their special projects they have done with Loly. Currently my 6 yr old and my 5 year old still attend. They get beyond excited to go to School in their home. My children love to visit and drop by from time to time, The Bonillas' are always receiving my children with open arms.It is so upsetting to see that someone who does not have ANY CHILDREN in the Bonilla's Daycare dis-credit their hard work with OUR CHILDREN. I am 100% sure that the neighbors across the street are to blame for the review. They think they own the PUBLIC PARKING SPACE in front of their house. THE BONILLAS' ARE SIMPLY FANTASTIC AND AMAZING PEOPLE!!! THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AND I KNOW THEY WILL CONTINUE TO BE AMAZING. THEY HAVE ESTABLISH A FANTASTIC HOME DAYCARE. THEY ARE EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL. Claudia Former LBUSD TEACHER

Comment: Our daughter has been cared for at Bonilla Family Child Care since she was three months old. When we moved to the area from West L.A., our priority was finding a home daycare for our newborn that met the high standards that were set by the one our older daughter had attended. Lucky for us, our friends told us about Bonilla Family Child Care. When we toured the Bonilla home, we were impressed by the space- airy, immaculate, and clearly set up for the safety and development of babies and young children. We were pleased to find that what we saw has completely matched our experience. This is a nurturing, safe and loving environment where our child is so happy that she barely looks back to say goodbye when she's dropped off in the morning. We are so grateful that we found the Bonillas and couldn't be happier. As a note, we've chatted with many other parents, including ones whose children were at Bonilla years ago, and all have had great experiences.

Comment: There is no other place I would trust my baby. Seriously. It is like taking her to a relatives house. The kids are always warmly greeted with extended arms, hugs and kisses every morning. The house is IMMACULATE, and my children are literally more clean when they come home than when I dropped them off (hair done, diaper changed, face washed. My older daughter comes home with beautiful braids almost everyday!). The father, mother and daughter are so meticulous in how the children are cared for. I write this with tears in my eyes: my youngest daughter almost died from anaphylactic shock at our home due to a diary allergy. The amount of attention that they paid to this was AMAZING. They would prepare her meals seperately, make sure she only had almond milk, trained themselves how to use her epi pen, and were so diligent about making sure she had zero contact with dairy. The peace of mind knowing this made all the difference in the world. I second the fact that unfortunately they have rude neighbors who think that they own the block; these neighbors are now trying to tarnish their good name and this is unacceptable. I bought a home in Long Beach, and I know that I do not have exclusive rights to the parking spot in front of my home. If Mayor Garcia writes her neighbors name on the curb I will not park there. Until then, it is a public street. The Bonillas have ensured that parents have parking in their drive way. I own a business that caters to children and have recommended them many times. Please consider them when looking for excellent day care!!

Comment: I am a former preschool teacher and taught Child Development at the community college and university levels before having children. I had high expectations for child care for my first child when I went back to work. The Bonillas far exceeded our expectations. When it was time to have my 2nd and 3rd children in daycare, there was no other place I wanted them to go. The Bonillas are a family and care for each one of the children in their home as if they are part of their family. The love that this family shows for all 3 of my children is more than I could have ever hoped for. Besides that, their home is always immaculate and totally child-centered. This home-based child care is professional and meets licensing requirements while providing a warm, loving environment . They provide nutritious, home cooked food, age appropriate activities and a welcoming environment for all of the families. I have and will continue to recommend Bonilla Family Daycare to anyone looking for a loving child care for their little ones.

Comment: Bonilla Family Daycare is a licensed family run daycare center who's lookout is always in the best interest of the children. As in their title, they are family ran and excel in the "family" arena. The center is ran by wife, husband, and daughter. All three are amazing, kind, generous, and loving people who care for your child and his/her needs. My son has been in attendance with them since he was 4 and is now 8. Their home is always immaculate, air conditioning is used on hot days and heat on the cold days, home is equipped with full surveillance including inside and outside which is a huge plus, great hours, provide many learning activities throughout the day, provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, and have family oriented Christmas/Holiday parties (which is a HUGE hit!). All three providers care for the children as if they were their own. Diapers are always changed in a timely manor and boogers and drool from teething babies are always taken care of. I mention this because my son has been to previous care providers where this wasnt always cared for immediately and wasnt a pleasant experience. The children have indoor activities as well as outdoor activities (weather permitting) on a daily basis. There is ALWAYS a minimum of two adults present at ALL times which most of the time exceeds the licencing 1:8 ratio. The great part is that you can always call or text to check up on how your little one is doing. It is unfortunate that they have unfavorable neighbors who do their best to try and tarnish the family ran business that's been operating for 15 amazing years. If you can ignore the neighbors who dislike the operation because of their own personal problems and not realizing that everyone as tax payers are free to park wherever legal on the streets then I would strongly urge you to visit this loving home for your child's needs!

I have no idea what the other reviewer is referring to. I have had my little ones in this family daycare for more than a year now, and I have had nothing but great and professional experiences. I am a CHOOSY mother who cares deeply about my children's safety and well being--I panic at the thought of my children being unsafe for even a moment. That being said, I do NOT worry about dropping off my little ones here. Not only do the Bonillas have a safe and age-appropriate backyard for the children to play in, they provide wholesome meals and snacks, play games, do crafts, assist with potty-training, teach preschool material, teach additional baby sign language, and offer lots of love to the kids. Their home is tidy and clean. They give personal attention and do their best to accommodate requests and address concerns. The kids always appear content and orderly because they have their little routine and know what to expect. I have never heard the family speak even a questionable word around parents or children. They are VERY aware of state regulations for caretaker ratios, safety guidelines, etc. (Ratios depend on the ages and number of clients.) Compliance is not an issue here at all--feel free to ask them about that--they know their stuff. Your contract with them goes over all of this. They do on occasion take a few older tots on a walk down the block (a quiet residential street)--each child in an orderly, single-file line, all of them holding a special lead line. The vast majority of their outdoor time is spent in the backyard with the toddler-safe equipment. I would highly recommend Bonilla Family Daycare to anyone in the area. Check them out yourself! They have many references and a loyal client base that goes back a long time.

Please disregard the review from the previous reviewer. It must be their neighbor across the street. I'm not sure why the neighbors are so rude and disrespectful to the Bonilla Family and the parents that pick up their children. I have experienced the neighbors scream out profanity as I am placing my kids into the car, and she has blocked me in as I picked up my children, all because I parked on the public street. Unfortunately, the neighbor does not understand that parking on the street, is public parking. NEVER has the Bonilla Family disrespected others! They are a kind loving family that wants what's best for the children. My son was diagnosed with mild autism. He needed socialization, help with his speech, and basic education. The Bonilla Family provided all of this and more...love. With the help of the Bonilla Family, my son is now in general preschool and going to start kindergarten in the next school year. They honestly are a gift from above. If you are interested in taking a tour of the daycare, please do. You will see what a wonderful family and environment they will provide for your child. Again, sorry about the previous reviewer's review. It is childish that they would go as far as to make false reviews.

Comment: The daughter of the owner, the mother that runs the business, have been know to shout profanities from their windows, or in the middle of the street, at neighbors. I question if there is enough supervision during the day when the children are in attendance, as the husband often leaves during the middle of the day. I'm not sure fo the adult to children ratio, but when there are only 3 adults, and one leaves, thats 1:7 ratio. Is that legal? Also, onty the wife is in attendance when she walks 7-10 children around the block. Does that meet requirements?
