Comment: I have had my child in one of Toni Bedford's daycare centers and have experienced many ups and downs. This review is intended solely to help other parents make a safe and informed decision. The issues with Bedford Learning Programs start at the top with Toni. She is unthinkably awful at communicating with families (and staff). It is near-impossible to get a response from her. In the time that my child has been in care, there have been 3 different site-directors and countless teacher changes. The majority of the teacher (and admin team) hires are unqualified, unprofessional, and look like they came straight from under the Burnside Bridge. There have been a couple of really amazing teachers that have been hired at the BLP site that I send my child to, but those teachers never last more than a year before leaving due to frustration with Toni/workplace practices. There is tons of screen time (they say they dont do screen time), and while I have not personally seen any instances of inappropriate verbal behavior from teachers, I have heard from multiple other parents at our facility that one staff member in particular has inappropriately yelled at their children, and that their children are now uncomfortable in care. Sick policy is inconsistently enforced. It seems as if staff members are sometimes looking for a reason to send kids home and have less work to do. On multiple occasions, staff will not arrive on time and leave you waiting for upwards of 30 minutes for someone to show up. For a while these issues have been tolerated by families simply because the tuition was significantly cheaper than any other daycare option in the area, but Toni just recently raised prices by ~$215/month, so all of the issues/headaches are much less tolerable. BLP is still the cheapest daycare option in my area, but the gap is significantly smaller now and I do not think the cost savings are worth it anymore. If you can afford it, I would highly recommend sending your child(ren) to a more professional daycare provider.
