Comment: I put my baby in this daycare in hopes that she would be cared for by compassionate understanding people that WANTED to care for children. I’m so enraged that this whole deal got flipped onto me and I’ve tried hard to hold my composure but I really just don’t care at this point. After tirelessly working with the director over many issues revolving around taking my baby I decided yesterday that I would not allow them to treat my baby just any way. She has severe separation anxiety. When I dropped her off yesterday she was very visibly upset as soon as we walked in the door. I waited aside for the parents picking up their kids to leave the building to free up some space so I could give the worker (one that never has worked with my baby before) some insight on what’s going on with her and what to expect for her time there for the evening. She immediately refused to hold her —even though she was doing nothing—and acted very hateful towards me and lani insisting that she will NOT hold her because her boss instructed her to NOT hold her the entire time. Which I never suggested. She demanded I put lani on the floor and leave that way. No. I had one simple request. Please hold my baby and soothe her while I leave—in hopes that she would not be upset for an extended period of time. The worker became very confrontational and abrasive towards me while I was holding lani. I requested she call the director because I did not feel the situation was being handled correctly. She went outside-to call the director- leaving me inside with 10-12 children unattended and some how sabotaged the entire story to make it seem as tho I was attacking the worker. The worker also had family members there as well picking up their kids. So through all this of course I’m getting upset. The worker put her hand in my face as well as the parent related putting her hand in my face and saying things directed towards me that would be considered very threatening. All while on the phone yelling to the director that I was in her face. I was 2-3 feet away from her-until she jumped in my face with her hand nearly touching my forehead I’m assuming to get a ride out of me. I never raised my hand or threatened. I had lani in my arms. If you know me you know I am not scared of physical altercation. This was not the time and place. I honestly wanted to drop my child off to this daycare that I was under the impression cared about their work—and the children they cared for. This director (Alesha Pearson) refused to talk to me. Refused to hear any part of my side. Barricaded everyone into the building after the altercation, before the police arrived.. while I waited for the police to show up to file a report. No one filed a report because no crime was committed. The fact is there is nothing more that can be done to be honest. No I did not get arrested. I did not commit a crime. I called the police..not the other way around. So I’m glad now they have cameras because obviously this provider/director will do as she pleases and sabotage situations..I guess so she or her workers will not have to deal with a child that has emotional needs.
